My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tiny and Oh-So-Sweet Dante. He is estimated to be between 9-10 years old and weighs only 4.6 pounds. Dante is being fostered in Gainesville, FL.

UPDATED BIO 11/21/218: Dante has been in his foster home for only a few days now, but it has been a busy time for this precious little fella. Dante’s owners asked a neighbor to pet-sit him when they left the country - and then decided not to return. The neighbor turned Dante over to Animal Control and United Yorkie Rescue stepped up to save this little fella’s life.

In the past few days, Dante has been brought up-to-date on all vaccinations, been neutered and had a dental. Sadly, due to previous neglect to his teeth, he lost all of them, but that’s no problem. He can eat just fine. Dante gets along with other dogs so far and enjoys walks on the leash. Even though the surrendering neighbor didn’t let Animal Control know his name, he is already coming to Dante when called. What a smart little boy.

Dante is a very sweet and loving little boy and appears to be house-trained. He is very tuned-in to his special person and would make a loving and loyal companion in his furever home. Stay tuned to learn more about this adorable little fella as his foster mom gets better acquainted with him.

PLEASE NOTE: Because Dante is so tiny, he would not do well in a family with children; he needs an adult-only home. NO EXCEPTIONS.
