My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cinnamon was pulled from Calhoun County Animal Center in Battle Creek in November 2018.

Her prior owner surrendered her to CCAC after he thought she had parvo. When she tested negative, he wanted her back to continue breeding her - another litter could have killed her being heartworm positive - so we rushed to pull her - no more puppy factory for this lady.

She was a medical and emotional mess when she came to Mosh Pit Rescue. She was HW positive, whipworm positive, had some skin issues, had a massive ear infection and was very closed down emotionally. She has now had her last HW injection, her skin has cleared up, and the ear infection and the whipworms have been treated. We're working on her confidence but she is still very gentle and sweet - she simply melts for love you can tell she didn't have enough before and is making up for it now.

Once her heartworm treatment is complete, she can then be spayed. Her spay will be at our expense and must be done at our vet VCA Woodland in Kentwood (CSnip would be too overwhelming for her and she doesn't care for other animals so CSnip would be a horrible experience for her.)

She must be the only pet in the home (and probably no small kids just due to her 60lb size). She doesn't trust other dogs (no pet smart or dog parks - EVER - even at the vet it's best to call first and make sure the lobby is clear and walk straight into a room). She likes being on a schedule, loves going for short walks (as long as her walker crosses the street if another dog is approaching). She isn't a running buddy - she really wants to go for a few walks a day or hang out with her human in a fenced in backyard before coming in to watch TV all day by her human's side. She flips over for belly rubs at every single opportunity and requires at least 2,934 hugs every day. She just wants to snuggle and cuddle. She will NOT crate train - we have tried EVERYTHING - it's never going to happen. She will need to be kept in a room vs a kennel and would strongly prefer her human/s be home a lot as that many hugs takes a lot of time each day.

Female 4-5 years old - has had many litters and has the body to prove it. This girl has been through so much - she needs someone who truly understands from here on she is a princess who will be treated well and loved excessively the remainder of her life.

Adoption applications are available at www.moshpitrescue.com. Or feel free to just call us at 616-915-8186.

We picture her with either a younger couple that wants to spoil her rotten like their baby, or a newly retired couple with lots of time to spend hugging.

It's our honor to get to save/foster and adopt out this sweet girl. We ADORE her at the rescue. We're all completely attached to her and if she didn't have to be the only dog we'd all be keeping her ourselves. You will have lots of support from us for the rest of Cinnamon's life if you are her forever home.
