Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Demi is a 5-month-old, spayed, female, collie (and possibly Labrador) mix weighing approximately 30 lbs. She has a soft, fluffy, black coat with white on her snout, throat, chest, legs/paws as well as the tip of her tail.
Demi arrived on transport the evening of Sunday, November 18. She is currently being fostered in a home with two human adults, one teenager, and our dogs.
Upon arriving in our care, Demi came across as your typical, happy-go-lucky puppy. She seems to love all of her toys which include stuffed animals, Nylabones, Chilly Bones, ropes, squeaky balls (large and small) and doesn’t really seem to favor one over the other.
Demi has also adapted very quickly to new things like, wearing a collar and a harness (only sometimes to get her used to a harness), walking on a leash and sleeping in her crate. She is completely comfortable in her crate and goes in there, on her own, to nap or when it’s bedtime. She also walks very nicely on a leash and politely waits for me to hook her leash onto her collar. She hasn’t gone for long leash walks, but she gets hooked up to a leash every time I bring her outside to go potty.
Demi is also doing very well with her house-training, too. Yes - there have been a few, occasional accidents but that’s usually been because someone wasn’t paying attention.
Demi has the heart and body of the perfect cuddle-monkey! When I’m watching TV in the evening, she is very content with curling up in between my legs, or up against my chest and drifting off to sleep. She can never get enough luvins and never lets too much time pass in between giving me kisses. Needless to say, if you have issues with being showered with love and cuddling, then this sweet little girl is not going to be the right match for you.
