Hi, my name is Max!

I’m a 9-year-old cutie who is full of life and love. I find myself in rescue due to my elderly owner no longer being able to take care of me. I am crate trained, house broken, up-to-date on shots, and recently had a dental (just a few teeth pulled).

I came in at nearly 30 lbs., but I’ve lost 4 lbs. at my foster parents and am down to 25 lbs.! I could probably stand to lose a few more but am making great progress.

I LOVE to play with toys. It’s my favorite thing to do. I would enjoy an active household who will play with me. I’m very friendly and would do fine with older children.

I would like a fence, so I can run around and play. I live with 3 other dogs. At first, I wasn’t so sure about sharing my toys, but now I have lots of fun playing with my foster brother. I would be OK as a solo dog too – more attention for me!

As is typical of Schnauzers, I’m very good at alerting you when someone is at the house!

Besides playing, I do love to hang out on the bed and watch TV. I like to be near my people. During the day, you can find me curled up near my foster mom in her office. I was even entered in a fashion show at a rescue event where I won a trophy and ribbon. I have so much to offer a family and my holiday wish is to find one of my own!
