Meet Jasper!!! Jasper is a really good dog and loves road trips and being out and about. He loves his baths and loves to be brushed. He struts his stuff after grooming and knows he's pretty. He has the softest fur on the planet and loves to cuddle. He will sleep in bed with you, but doesn't need to be the under covers. He just likes company. He loves toys and knows how to play fetch!! He loves short walks and walks well on a leash and with other dogs in for a pack walk. He's currently being fostered with two Chiweenie mixes that are a bit bigger than he is and he has settled in quickly with them. Jasper seems to like both men and women equally and does seem to have a preference. We think Jasper would make a great companion dog to someone who is home most of the day.
Jasper can be shy at first and takes a minute to warm up. Once he's warmed up he's totally fine. But because he is shy, we think he would do best in a home with no small children. We think a previous owner may have let children pull Jasper's tail. He's a bit sensitive about his tail but allows touching and grooming without issues. Jasper is a real sweet heart who is eager to please but will need a forever person who is willing to give him some time to settle in. He's done great in foster care and we feel he is ready for his forever person!
Jasper is an inside dog who likes supervised time outside. He cannot be an outdoor dog. Silky Terriers need regular grooming to avoid mats and to keep the fur out of his eyes. A home check and vet reference are required.
