My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lovely Hazel is an 11 month old fawn female with cropped ears and a docked tail. Hazel was surrendered to our program by a very loving family who had the foresight to realize their changing lifestyle would not afford them the time needed for a young working breed dog. Hazel has known nothing but love and patience. She is a very balanced, well socialized young lady who is excited about life! She is an ideal house guest and a quick study. She is currently learning some obedience skills and tricks through positive reinforcement training with her amazing foster dad! At her young age, she already has a good recall, decent leash manners, knows requests such as: sit, down, and go to bed. She is crate trained for night-time sleeping but is learning that daytime naps are made for snuggling with her humans. She loves other dogs, is indifferent toward cats and is good with children. She loves to give kisses and hugs. Hazel has a lot to say, she's a vocal girl who likes to exhibit her enthusiasm through barking when playing with friends. Sometimes it is easy to forget that Hazel is so young, she will happily remind you of her age in the form of stealing and chewing random household items. Hazel is a brilliant young Doberman who needs a home who is willing to devote the time to her continued training and be able to provide her the mental and physical stimulation a maturing Doberman needs. This is a fairly easy task as she loves dogs parks, car rides, happily retrieves balls, and will play for hours with other dogs. Hazel is not a couch potato, she thrives on human interaction and is happiest when her mind is engaged. She will be an ideal addition to a family who understands that young working breed dogs need equal amounts of structure, training, patience, and love.
