My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mimi. This pint-sized Yorkie sweetie seeks a quiet country or suburban home with a family who has experience working with animals with a history of abuse. That's right, poor Mimi was mistreated in the past. She ended up with a rescue group, which is where our friend rescued her about a year ago. Unfortunately city living has proved to be too stressful for Mimi. The noises in the hall, the cars on walks, etc make her too excited and send her into a barking fit. But Mimi is enjoying doggy daycare and trips to dog park! She is also very good with kids when she's on the leash. We think Mimi would thrive in a home with more space and fewer stressors. She would probably be ok with kids (older kids) that understood how to be gentle with her, and gentle and friendly dogs and cats. Please contact us to learn more about Mimi and meet her in Harlem! We usually only post cats (we are after all Harlem Cats!), but we are making an exception as a favor to a friend and because Mimi is so special. Just look at that cute face!
