Porkchop here!!! I’m currently in search of a family of my own who will actually let me be a part of the family!!! I bring the fun to family…wait, that doesn’t work, well you know what I mean. My foster mom says I’m a “12 week old puppy stuck in a two year old dogs body!” I love EVERYONE!!!!! She says I would make a great Wal-Mart greeter. I’m learning all about being a ‘dog’ and life while in foster. I have a great 4-legged foster brother who is teaching me everything! I now sit before I get my food, because that’s what he does & we both get food & treats!!! It’s an awesome deal!!!
My life wasn’t so great to start. I don’t think the people who had me liked me very much. They cut my ears off !! What??!!! Who does that?!?! So they are a little short & ok maybe crooked too, but it doesn’t affect my hearing & I still like people. They left me in a crate too long too, so I’m not a super big fan of them. Actually I don’t like them at all. I’m hoping my next family will be home a lot or maybe even I can go to work with them. Did I mention I LOVE people!!!!! Foster mom says ‘everyone should be so lucky to meet a dog like me in lifetime!’ I guess that means I’m pretty special. So what are you waiting for??? Come meet me & oh yeah, take me home with you!!!!
This dog will be ready to leave our care in time for CPR's Triple Event Weekend! CPR will be at Petland Discounts in Southbury on Friday, February 8th from 2pm - 6pm. On Saturday February 9th from 10am - 2pm, CPR will be at Petsmart in Meriden. Lastly on Sunday February 10th CPR will be hosting an Open House at our adoption facility located at 522 N. Georges Hill Rd in Southbury from 10am - 1pm. PRE-APPROVAL is REQUIRED to bring home a pup from SUNDAY'S event. You can apply while you are there, but the application will not be processed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!
The adoption fee is $425 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog has tested negative for heartworms.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 10am-Noon. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
