If you are interested in GORDON or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application here
Please email the completed application to sarahbeth.woofriver@gmail.com
Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached.

GORDON is the kindest, cutest, gentlest guy we know! Everyone who meets him falls instantly in love with his irresistible adorable looks, his deep soulful eyes, and his precious personality. GORDON is WONDERFUL with other dogs and wouldn't hurt a fly. He is also crate trained and knows not to potty in the house. He is a top notch cuddler, shares his toys like a champ, and loves chasing squirrels in the back yard with his foster siblings. As seen in his video, GORDON's talents do not include catching popcorn in his mouth. LoL.

GORDON is sweet, silly, and perfect in his foster family's eyes. He is a little bit of a shy guy so tons of really loud children running around with toy guns or banging pots and pans would cause GORDON to hide in his crate or in a more quiet room. That being said he doesn't have an unkind fiber in his being.

GORDON doesn't currently live with cats. We think he would want to play chase with kitties, but could be taught to coexist with cats if you are experienced in bringing new dogs into a home felines. Since GORDON loves other pups so very much, we do require his forever home have at least one other resident canine.
If you are looking for a squishy faced, adorable gentleman, GORDON is just the one to melt your heart and complete your family.

GORDON is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations.
His $490 adoption fee includes his interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the Midwest after he is officially adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
