Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Trooper is a 5 year old Border Collie mix. He spent most of his life in a backyard and doesn't know much else other than that so the world is a little scary for him. In general, it's his nature to be a follower. He lived with another dog, who he followed around, and now his pal has been rehomed so he is even more lost. We have been taking him out to meet new people, animals and see new places, but the only other place he went to before was a vet, so he is very unsure. He has done totally fine with other dogs, but is definitely nervous with people. Trooper needs someone to be patient and give him time to adjust, but then he will be a very loyal pup. He is smart and sweet, and likes to lean on you. Despite spending a lot of time outside, he is housebroken and crate trained. He actually really loves his crate because he knows it's his safe space. His family wanted him to have better. They wanted him to have a family he could be part of and go on adventures with. Although, he grew up with several young kids and babies, we think he should go to a home with kids over 10 years. If you think Trooper would be a food match for you, please visit our website www.dominoeffectanimalrescue.org and fill out an adoption application. Thanks!April 21, 2024, 4:08 pm
