Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Everett is a 2 year old male who came into the shelter on 11/9 as a stray.

DECEMBER - It's good to see that Everett has plumped up in his 6 weeks at the shelter. Now it's time to get him a forever home. He's more than ready to walk out of his cage for the last time. Everett is pretty strong on leash and can strain to get to other dogs in the yard. We recommend Everett be the only dog in a home at this time.
Everett loves hanging out with people though. He's very treat motivated and when you have treats his focus is totally on you. He jumps up on occasion for attention, but isn't hard to handle. Everett loves getting his chest and back scratched too.
NOVEMBER - Everett came in very skinny and beat up. His ears look chewed on and his body is littered with healing scrapes and cuts. The streets are hard living for anyone and most dogs don’t survive on their own. Everett is grateful to have warmth and regular food at the shelter. He’s eager to come out if his kennel and loves going for walks. His leash skills are average and does minimal pulling. He’s very attentive especially if you have treats. At first he would jump and snatch the treats but quickly learned to sit for them. He’s still a bit eager taking them but practice makes perfect. He’s very smart and food motivated, he will soak up training like a sponge.
Everett allowed handling all over, is pretty athletic but not hyper, and is great at being independent off leash. This little cutie was not a huge fan of returning to his kennel. He told me he will be a good boy in hopes he will get a forever home from Santa this year.
