My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is YoYo, and I'm a very loving, sociable, and playful black DSH/ Bombay mix little girl who was born in August 2018. I have the Bombay's sleek, shiny patent-leather coat and big, copper-penny eyes. I'm solid black except for a few sprinkles of white angel's dust on my chest. As I mature, I expect my fur to become as soft, thick, and plush as a mink's.
Bombay mixes are often called 'Velcro' cats because we're such loving companions with our owners. Because I love to be petted, just touch me, and I'll turn on my purr motor, which sounds like a perking coffeepot! I'm happiest when I'm with my foster dad, and I have literally tried to block his exiting my foster room because I wanted him to stay with me. Likewise, I can be vocal when I'm unhappy that I'm separated from people; so I'll meow at the door when I sense that someone is nearby but I'm unable to be next to him. (It's a little lonely in my foster room because one of the resident adult cats doesn't particularly like me, so I usually have to stay in my foster room by myself.)
One reason I like human companionship is because I've got a nearly bottomless amount of playful energy. I love chasing around strings or catching (or at least attempting to catch) a plush ball when my foster dad plays with me. He's great at occupying me with interactive toys, which only bonds me with him more and makes me miss him more when he leaves.
I was found in a neighbor's back yard when I was a tiny orphan kitten. Since the neighbor had giant dogs who hadn't been around cats and since the weather was cool and rainy, my future foster dad agreed to foster me in a spare bedroom until he could find me a fantastic home of my own. Although I haven't been around other cats, dogs, or kids, I think I would be amicable with all of them as long as they were friendly with me. I'm a well-adjusted, outgoing, personality-plus kitten who's just looking for a lifetime family of my own. Why don't you arrange to meet me today so that you can guess the decibels of my purr motor?
Please don't be superstitious of black cats! Buster's Friends makes a concerted effort to rescue black cats and kittens from shelters because they are five times more likely to be euthanized than any other color of cat. However, many people who have had a black or Bombay mix cat before end up adopting another one because they seem to have such wonderful personalities and are emotionally stable and well balanced.
YoYo is updated on shots, dewormed, spayed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for her indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. Her adoption fee is $125 for kittens 9 months old and younger, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in YoYo, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet her.
