Aaliyah, formerly known as Barracuda at the shelter! The musician Aa liyah's story is tragic, due to her untimely death, but friends recall Aaliyah as driven, intelligent and clear on the reward of hard work, as well as an unusually sweet and gentle spirit who always found time for play. She had a shyness that was beautiful, they say, because it sprang from humility.
Our girl Aaliyah is much the same way - sweet and gentle, yet playful and unassuming. We fell in love with her at the shelter when we pulled her out of the run to test, because of those traits. She's exactly the kind of dog who doesn't make it out of a shelter - unassuming, doesn't demand attention, and whose looks are not going to make her stand out. But we are so glad she caught our eye, because this girl is a gem! Her temperament is so rock solid that we believe this girl could be a therapy dog! She loves everyone she meets, she's so very smart, and she's a great advocate for her breed. She's a petite little thing, only weighing in around 45 pounds.
