Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mina is estimated to be about eight years old, spayed female who weighs about 10lbs. She was brought in to the kill shelter after being spotted rummaging through trash looking for food at apartment complex for days by the residents. Her appearance at the shelter explained what type of a life she had previously....her hair badly matted, tear stains running down her face. Remarkably, she tested negative for heartworm, so all she needed was a little TLC and teeth cleaning, which she received immediately. At our safehouse, she exhibited to be a little stressed out with the day in and out with30+ other dogs who are going through the quarantine process like she is. So we placed her with just a few other smaller dogs who prefer to be a little more private, which she did much better. We think she is better off as the only dog in the family, since she really does not care to play with other dogs much. She only really likes interaction with people, but not so much with other four legged animals. Othan that, she received a clean bill of health from the vet, and she is ready to be adopted!
We believe people who adopt rescue animals because they are willing to accept a bit of imperfection, and willing to embrace, work/ train and love them no matter what baggage the animal had in the past. It can be challenging, but extremely rewarding. We have seen amazing transformation in our adopted dogs who have been with loving families, and it is our goal to provide all of them with the opportunity. We are at our happiest when we see photos of our adopted animals smile with the new adoptive family, and we hope to find Mina loving family who would do the same.
