Leyla is Adopted
Leyla is currently fostered in Mentor Ohio, and her adoption fee/donation is $300
Leyla is a beautiful 7 yr old female cocker spaniel. She came from a puppymill in southern Ohio.
Leyla is not well socialized with people, her years being in a puppymill have definitely left some emotional scars.
It will take time for her to come around, but we have seen many mill dogs like her that have blossomed in the right home with patient and loving adopters.
Leyla is very sweet, she may be very shy, but she wants the attention so bad!!
She sees the other dogs getting petted and comes right up to get some affection.
She does jump, and run away if you move to quickly, but she definitely shows interest in being with humans.
We are working with her on housetraining, she appears to be catching on from going out with other dogs.
Leyla is going to need a special person, someone that has experience with mill dogs and understands their needs.
She is not a dog for just anyone, you really have to be experienced with these dogs.
A fenced in yard is a MUST to keep her safe, she will bolt when she gets spooked by any fast movements or loud noises.
Leyla is being spayed on dec 21st, and will be available after she is all healed and ready.
She is up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative.
