My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You MUST visit www.save-a-mutt.org/herodogs to fill out an application and get pre-approved before meeting any Save-A-Mutt puppies. We are a foster based rescue, there is no facility to visit. Thank You!

---

Meet Harmony. She and her litter mates were owner surrendered to a local shelter in pretty bad shape. They were very underweight when they came to us, but have enjoyed lots of yummy food and look wonderful.

Here's what her first foster mom said, "Harmony is a VERY affectionate little girl (-20lbs) who loves lots of snuggles, playing with her ball, hanging out with her foster sister, and afternoon house zoomies. She has learned to sit, not snack on foster sisters meals, unroll the TP, and more... a clever gal She will be a wonderful buddy for someone giving them lots of love, smiles, and laughs!"

DNA came back as a full American Staffordshire Terrier - but she is small and will probably less than 40# range full grown. She's only 21# currently, at 8 months old. A perfect little Pocket Pit. She loves to cuddle!! At her demure size - she would be a great dog to go everywhere. Harmony would love a home with other playful dogs. She is crate trained, but prefers to be in your lap. She will also need some housebreaking reminders in new home, she's done so well in the last month - she had no clue from her previous life.

Because of her initial fragile state, Harmony developed what we think is ringworm, her siblings didn't. She only has 2 small spots that are healing - so an adopter should chat with their vet. We will send her home with the shampoo and spray as she should continue treatment for a full 4 weeks.. Harmony out of 'quarantine' and she wants a home by Christmas.

Harmony thinks cats are fun to chase, but dog savvy cats will teach her respect. She has been learning with correction, to leave the foster cats alone. We just think she's never seen them before and they look fun! We think she will be fine with cats, just will need corrections.

Harmony had double cherry eye surgery, was spayed and had a retained baby tooth pulled. Harmony's teeth are a little odd. Her canines have not fully dropped. X-rays showed that the full tooth is there, and vet staff is wondering if her malnutrition delayed the growth of her teeth. She eats just fine!! Adoptions take place typically in Stanwood.

She is fully healed from her spay, microchipped and fully vaccinated. Harmony goes goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. She is eating Costco Nature's Domain puppy kibble. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption.

Adoption fee is $275
Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3.

Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR is the farthest south and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA.
