Kai is a 6-7 year old, 20 pound, female rat terrier mix. She is a VERY shy girl but once she's given some time and space she's loving & affectionate. She's good with other dogs and cats too. House trained, great on leash and not a barker. Best in an adult home. She needs TIME to settle and trust. She was surrendered just over a year ago because of allergies. They had adopted her from a shelter and she was very attached to them. It was hard to see Kai's sadness when she was surrendered. We never rush, it's about finding the right fit and moving at the dog's pace and comfort level. Visit LAAR.ORG to adopt.
Re video: Kai is a weirdo but we love her. She usually reserves her affection for @jncapture but she decided to come over and cuddle with me. Then I realized I was sitting in her new favorite spot and I think she was trying to ask me nicely to get out, haha!
We are a 501c3 non-profit organization. Adoption process includes an adoption contract and home check. Adoption fee for dogs is $350 - 550 and for cats is $175. All of our animals are fixed, vaccinated, and chipped.
