My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oso is a 5 year old neutered male who came into the shelter on 9/28 as an owner surrender.

Imagine Oso's confusion - not only did his owner die, but he is now at the shelter, without his owner and without his home. HOW SAD!!! Despite this, Oso tries to put on a happy face. But, he definitely has a sadness that lingers and will break your heart. Oso is a big, beautiful brown dog. In his kennel, he looks a little daunting because of his size and his loud bark. But, he means NO harm by his bark - he just really craves attention.

As soon as you open his kennel door, he is so happy to have you as his guest and let's you walk him out of the pavilion with no issue at all. Oso and I hung out in a medical run and he showed me that he is not only a really friendly guy, but he's chock full of tricks!! Oso sits on command and knows paw/shake with both his paws!!! He's so very handsome and smart and well mannered. Oso did get a bit sad when I was ignoring him and talking to some other people - he barked to let me know. As soon as I reassured him I hadn't forgotten about him, he stopped. This guy just wants his owner back, but that can't happen. I hope we can find him someone else he loves just as much.
