My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi Everybody!
Just wanted to check in and let you know what’s good in my world. I have settled into my new foster home amazingly. I have a brittany brother who is great company for me. We love to roam the yard and chase away uninvited guests like those pesky squirrels, rabbits and moles.

My brother is younger than me, but he tires much more easily than I do. I like to patrol the property. I’m constantly on the move. I wouldn’t want to let my guard down and allow those critters to get back in the yard. I LOOOOVE my walks immensely, this is obvious because I will do my “happy dance” when I hear the leash rattle. My favorite thing of all is to be in the water, my foster family put a baby pool out for me this summer; I couldn’t get enough of the splashing. I’m hoping I get a ride on my foster dad’s boat soon, my brittany brother tells me it’s wonderful, I just want to experience everything!

I especially like my “human” brother and sister. I cuddle on the couch with them. I get so much love and kisses every day. My “human” sister loves combing my hair and telling me stories. I am a very good listener and keep all secrets safe. I wait at the front door when it’s time for them to come home from school, I get to do my “happy dance” all over again as I’m so glad they are home OK. I hear my britt brother barking, so I need to check the yard and see what’s going on. Here’s my foster mom to tell you how wonderful I am!
Ginger has made an incredible adjustment to our active home. She is very tender and attentive with our children. She is a good companion to our male britt. Although she would do well as an “only child” also as long as proper exercise and attention were given to her physical/social needs. It is as if she has been here forever. She is very calm and stable when guests enter the house. She rarely barks, unless it is while playing. She has been exposed to many social situations with humans and numerous dogs and has been a champ each and every time.
She has some seasonal type allergies, general stiffness (which does not hold her back), other than that she is in great shape. She has even lost a few needed pounds due to her level of activity. She loves to please and just be adored for who she is. If you would like to meet her, please fill out our online adoption application at www.americanbrittanyrescue.org or contact me, she is just waiting for a special home to call her very own!
