Meet our delightful CASSIE! This 13-year old lovely girl is the sweetest girl you will ever have the pleasure of knowing. She is very loving, adores attention and comes to you for petting sessions often. CASSIE loves to explore our property and checked out every inch. Some of her day involves laying quietly about, but she’s quick to join you for a walk about session outdoors, either about the yard or on lead about the neighborhood. She’s a little aged in her bones so long walks are not called for, but her eagerness to accompany you is undeniable. In the house she is content to lay in the middle of the floor and let the day’s action revolve around her or she’ll jump on to the couch for a cuddle. CASSIE gets along very well with all of our dogs as well as dogs who come and go. Similarly, PuckleCat walks by without CASSIE batting an eye in her direction.
CASSIE has been an outstanding houseguest. She has not barked even once and hasn’t done any digging in our yard. She's housebroken and knows going outside means business! She is simply well behaved and nice to have about. We routinely crate our foster dogs at night for sleeping, but CASSIE has earned our respect and the right to sleep where she please. She usually starts out with us in the bedroom and at some point moves to the living room. Sometimes she curls up on a dog pillow, but more often than not she likes to stretch out on the living room rug.
In short, CASSIE has won our hearts for being one of the sweetest old girls we’ve ever met. She may be a bit hard of hearing and we think even a bit diminished in sight (or is she just being clever and ignoring us when she sees fit!), but once you get her attention she’s quick to respond and engage. She had some dental issues when she came into rescue, but we’ve sorted that with having a few teeth removed. Now ready for her forever home, our darling CASSIE has packed her belongings and is hoping to be into her new home before the New Year celebrations end.
CASSIE is micro-chipped, spayed, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations.
