Maple and Chita are sisters. Here is what their foster home said about their background:
“I have had Maple for a little while and about a week or so later I got Chita. My neighbor had given Maple to her 14-year-old daughter who lives with her dad and his parents. Grandma tossed the kitten over the fence and, fortunately, Maple came back. The mom said her daughter could keep the kitten at her house and she could see her when she visited. Her mom then talked her daughter into giving her up for adoption, then I got her.
A couple of weeks later the neighbor's father (who had Maple's sister, Chita) decided he needed to rehome his kitten, who had no vaccines and had been teased by a young grandchild. I began Chita's vaccines and Maple has had all three of hers. They are about 6 to 7 months old.”
This is a kitten being fostered in a private home by our cat rescue. We are a rescue and not a shelter so we do not have a facility. The kitten will not be available to meet until an adoption event at PetSmart in Temecula. We are unable to bring any unsterilized animals to the adoption event per PetSmart policies but we will have updates on our cats posted on our blog, Facebook, and our newsletter.

At the adoption event, there will be an interview to discuss whether you understand and are willing to take on the responsibilities involved with owning a cat. The first qualified person interested in an animal will be able to adopt the feline(s). If people have indicated interest in advance, we will go through that list of names first before adopting to anyone who is present at the event.
