Meet Keira, an adorable little Shih Tzu

Keira is an absolutely adorable little Shih Tzu, most likely a purebred.

She’s 4-6 years old, and weighs in at 10 lbs. She’s cute, friendly, playful, and great with other dogs. Keira is truly a bundle of joy….and cuteness.

Keira came to BAARK from Chicago Animal Control after having been found on the cold streets of Chicago in November. She was so filthy and matted that she had to be completely shaved down. She was scared and a bit snappy as she tried to protect herself from the unknown.

Her hair is now growing back and every day, she’s evolving into a friendlier, more sociable, and more adorable girl. She enjoys car rides, sitting on her person’s lap, cuddling, and being the center of attention.

An ideal home for Keira is with a family knowledgeable of the Shih Tzu breed, has no small children, and is able to provide Keira with the regular care and grooming she needs. Keira is being fostered in the Barrington area and we prefer that she be adopted within this area.

Keira is housebroken, not fond of crates, fully vetted, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm preventative, spayed, and microchipped for permanent identification.
