Woof Woof! My name is Sugar and I am a sweet 18 month to 2 year old Rottweiler. She was found wandering in the city with a gate hanging from her collar. At first she was scared of just about everyone, but being that she has been with us since October she is doing awesome. She has not me a child or dog that she doesn't like so far. She will do well in a home prepared for a dog her size (90 pounds) and who has experience with this breed. She does know sit and lay down and is very food motivated. She could use some training to reinforce some basic commands. At her spay appointment we did learn that Sugar was positive for heartworm disease, but is not positive with microfilaria, the baby heartworms. She has done her round of doxycycline and has been on iverheart max. This is very treatable and only transmitted via the mosquito. I would encourage you to look into cost of treatment in your area.
