My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Brody is a handsome 10 year old boy who weighs 17 pounds. A very well mannered boy, Brody is looking for his forever home!

Brody is well mannered and very playful. He loves other dogs and will mimic their behavior. Brody doesn’t like to be alone and wants to be near his person. He loves to play with toys and spending some outside time.He likes playing with other dogs but will bark loudly in their face if he wants their toy but he will go back to his own toy if they do not give in. He is so well mannered that he permits his teeth to be brushed a few times and week and even tolerates having his ears cleaned. Brody would do well with respectful children age 12 and older.

Brody is a sweet little boy who will bark and sing the song of his people but his sweet nature makes everyone love him. Brody has IVDD and came into rescue when his family abandoned him when he could no longer walk. Brody now runs and plays with his ball, but has a definite IVDD waddle and a humped back which is very normal after a disc herniation. He must be handled gently so as not to cause him pain. . Brody will need laser treatments at least every other month to maintain his current health.

Brody is house trained. Brody has an expectation of a treat when he potties outside and will yell at you if you forget. Because of his IVDD, his forever family will have to pay attention and learn his habits. He will tell them when he needs to go potty, but only once. It is important to learn his signals because if you don’t react, he can’t always hold it.

Brody is a super sweet boy who is so well behaved. He deserves a home that understands IVDD dogs are so special. He is joyous and happy! Are you the one to open your heart to this wonderful boy?
