Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mishka is a perfectly handsome Rottweiler (maybe a rottie blend, but he looks pure rottie to me).
He is a big fellow and a real lover! Mishka (or Misha, if you prefer) can be a real clown! He is well behaved and is great with adults and kids – he is as gentle as the proverbial lamb. He has perfect colors and a sweet, loving expression.
Mishka is fine with small dogs - small terriers, chis, etc., but he's not necessarily great with other big dogs, though. Here’s why:
Mishka was born with a deformed foot. It doesn’t bother him in the least – he is athletic, healthy, and fun. But I think he senses that he is the “under dog,” and he is afraid of other dogs who might want to hurt him. He can be aggressive toward the other dogs, simply out of fear. But he is SO super with people (never the tiniest bit nasty), that my guess is other dogs have hurt him.
Mishka got his name because the way his foot is shaped, he curls it up to his other front leg and makes a perfect ballet pose! I named him after Mikhail Baryshnikov, so his name suits him to a “T”!
I was a tiny bit tempted to post Mishka as “special needs,” but he doesn’t need anything “special” at all. He doesn’t even know he has an unusual foot, and he romps and plays like any other big lug of a dog!
He has no problems at all walking, and daily walks would be great for him. He plays like any other dog.
Mishka weighs 60 pounds and is maybe 6 years old – he is happy, content fellow who seldom barks and never runs off. He will stick near your side whenever he can, but he has no separation anxiety whatsoever.
Mishka is an affectionate, people-loving doggie who will make a splendid companion! He would love if you could find room in your home and heart to adopt him.
Mishka’s very favorite thing in the whole world is his “kiddie pool”! He is cute playing in the water on a hot day – I think it is soothing , fun, and relaxing for this big goofy boy!
Of course, Mishka is up-to-date on all of his annual shots.
You might even want to take handsome Mishka home for a sleepover, so you can see how well he blends with you and the rest of your family. I guarantee that he is one great love-puppy!
