Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sheldon is a handsome 13 pound, 10 year old boy looking for love ! If you are looking for a very loving cuddle buddy who will always be by your side, here's your man!
Sheldon is a super mellow, easy going dog who wants nothing more than to be WITH you, at all times. He does enjoy walks, and is good on a leash as long as you lead. He is housebroken and will relieve himself very quickly when you let him out. When the weather is nice, he does enjoy using sitting out in the sun, but if you leave him alone too long- he will sometimes explore, and use his long nose to burrow in the dirt from time to time, so make sure you check his nose when he comes in from outside!
Sheldon is absolutely fine with any living thing- cats, dogs, and kids! While Sheldon absolutely gets along with other pets quite well (he does cuddle with the dogs in his foster home in Florida)- he is mostly indifferent to them. He is a 'people' seeker and LOVES any human who will love on him!
Sheldon LOVES the big bed and needs a home where he will be allowed big bed privileges. Sheldon is so cuddly, he wants tp put his warm body right up against you. Also, expect his cold little nose to poke you sometimes, as he likes to be VERY close. This sweet little boy ‘talks’ in his sleep and sometimes snores! Sheldon would like a ramp to go up onto any furniture or beds.
Sweet Sheldon is house trained and tolerates a crate. Like all dachshunds he will need to be confident in their environment to have good potty habits. All rescue dogs go thru a period of adjustment so understanding and patience is important.
Sheldon is looking for a forever home with someone who can spend a lot of time with him and be ready to be loved in return. Sheldon is waiting .... just for YOU!
