My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

At Amber's Angels Rescue she is affectionately called Ella. She is a typical dachshund- loves to cuddle, sleep under the covers, give kisses, and play. One ear lays flat and the other one sticks straight up. Ella can be nervous meeting new people and takes a few minutes to warm up. If you get to her level, say kind words and offer treats and toys she will become your best friend. She will trust new people more quickly if they offer her one of these things. Once she is friends with you, Ella will run right up to you and stop directly in front of your feet to ask for pets and scratches. She take treats gently, and she is eager to learn new things when treats are the reward. She adores her toys and treats them like her babies, carrying them around and sleeping with them on her bed. Her foster mother and caregivers are currently working on basic obedience. Specifically, sit and stay. Ella walks well on a leash, is crate trained, and is doing great with her housebreaking. Ella is playful with new dogs once she has gotten to know them. She also enjoys sunbathing outside with her doggy friends. Ella has done well with cats and chickens too!
