The Macon County Humane Society requires an adoption contract on all of the animals we place and has reasonable adoption fees for new forever friends.

Go meet their pets

We have cats and dogs available for adoption from our foster home network as well as adoption events at Petco selected Saturdays, contact us for dates and times.

More about this shelter

Despite our small size, the Macon County Humane Society is a progressive, home-based animal rescue group that does not euthanize animals for lack of an adoptive home. We think that every animal deserves a loving, forever home and promote animal adoption, spaying and neutering as well as humane treatment for all animals.
