Welcome to CPR rescue Walter! Walter is a sweet 1 year old guy that found himself wandering out in the cold alone. He approached the door of a house in desperation, and was fortunate to find a kind elderly woman on the other side. She brought him in from the cold and cared for him until he could get into rescue. On New Years Eve, his CPR foster mom came for him and 2019 rang in with as much hope and promise for a happy life as any former street pup could hope for.
Water came into rescue and caught up on all those pesky doctor appointments and vaccines he'd missed, and has since been thriving in his foster home. He's a young dude whose on the smaller side of medium at around 36lbs, and he just loves life! Playing with pup friends, snuggling with humans, going on walks and hikes, car rides, or whatever your pleasure, Walter is ready to go! And he's a people pleaser who adores lots of pets and snuggles to reinforce he's the best boy ever. Walter's a young dude that offers all the spunk and fun of a puppy minus the shenanigans, and is going to make an awesome addition to any family. This dog will be ready to leave our care in time for CPR's Triple Event Weekend! CPR will be at Ace Hardware in Oxford on Friday March 8th from 2pm-6pm. Then CPR will be at Petsmart in Plainville on Saturday March 9th from 10am-2pm and lastly on Sunday March 10th CPR is hosting an Open House at our center located at 522 N. Georges Hill Rd in Southbury, from 10am-1pm. PRE-APPROVAL is REQUIRED to bring home a pup from SUNDAY'S event. You can apply while you are there, but the application will not be processed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!
The adoption fee is $450 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog has tested negative for heartworms.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 10am-Noon. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
