Here's what the humans have to say about me:
How can you resist this face? Meet Beatrice. She had a DNA test and is 75% American Staffordshire Terrier. The other 25% could be almost anything. If you ask me, it looks like Boston Terrier with that smushed nose and cow patch coloring. She is approx 2 years old, so the perfect balance of playful and lazy energy. She loves to snuggle her people! She really thinks she is a lap dog even though she is about 40 pounds. She says that really isn't big at all!
Beatrice walks pretty nicely on a leash and listens pretty well. She knows sit, down, stay, and off. However, off is one she only selectively listens too. She goes to doggie daycare, and with the proper introductions likes most all other dogs. She is even good with the little ones (her best bud in foster is a mini dachshund). She isn't that great with cats or other small critters. She doesn't understand why she isn't allowed to chase them when it is so fun.
Beatrice was pulled from Detroit Animal Care & Control the day after Christmas 2018. She doesn't understand why she still hasn't found her forever family, but she knows they are out there. She promises to be a good girl while she waits.
Beatrice is spay/neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, heartworm tested and on prevention. Adoption fee for Beatrice is $275. If you are interested in adopting Beatrice, please fill out an adoption application http://www.furgetusnotrescue.org/application.html .
