BERT and ERNIE were born approximately November 24th, 2018. Luckily these little nuggets were able to stay with their mom and siblings until they were 7 weeks old. This is an amazing gift for puppies in rescue. Being with their mom during this important developmental time is priceless. At 7 weeks old they went into their very own foster home together in order to get more individual attention and ensure they become happy and well-adjusted pooches.
These gorgeous boys are just bursting with puppy love and playfulness. They adore people and lap up all the cuddles and affection they can get. They are doing great with their crate training and mastering their potty training. They have an alert and inquisitive nature about them and love exploring the world around them. With one of these kids, every day’s a great day!
BERT and ERNIE will be microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations when they arrive to their forever families.
BERT and ERNIE may NOT be adopted to the same home! Woof River does not support the adoption of littermates.
BERT and ERNIE also have 2 adorable sisters named THELMA and LOUISE.
We highly encourage you to be open to any of these siblings joining your family. There are only 4 puppies in this family and they will likely receive many applications. Please notate on your application if for some reason you are only interested on one specific puppy.
Each boy has a $340 adoption fee which includes the cost of transport to Nashville once he is officially adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted,some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and our own private transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
