This sweet little girl is Daisy. She is a 12 pound, black and white Shih Tzu mix and, although her exact age is not known, the vet thinks she is about 7 years old.
Daisy did not have a great start in life, but has quickly become accustomed to living in a loving home. She is shy, but sweet and loving, and is extremely happy to follow you around the house or snuggle with you while you read a book or watch TV. She isn’t real sure what to do with toys, so she mostly just carries them around. She is very comfortable on car rides and walks nicely on her leash. She is also very calm and tolerant with grooming and at vet visits. When it’s time to go to sleep for the night, she heads for her own bed. Daisy has been doing very well on her house-training, but she is still a work in progress.
Daisy would do best in a home where she is either an only dog, or is with another small adult dog. A family with older, respectful children would be okay, but she would probably do better in a home with only adults who would be home a good portion of the day. Above all, she needs to be with people who will give her all the love and attention that she deserves.
Daisy has been spayed and micro-chipped, is up to date on her vaccinations, is currently on heartworm and flea/tick preventative and is in overall good health.
Daisy will be ready for adoption after February 8. Her adoption fee is $270.00 plus $20.32 sales tax for a total of $290.32. Her foster mom would like her forever home to be within 50 miles of Cambridge, MN and requests that her new family come to the Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion held in September.
To meet Daisy, please complete an adoption application. Or you can also see her and the other dogs available for adoption from Shih Tzu Rescue of Minnesota by visiting with us from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Minnetonka Petco near Ridgedale the first Saturday of every month.
