My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IDGSR WELCOMES ANYSTEN INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!!

PLEASE NOTE: If the dog you are interested in is online, he/she is still available and it is not necessary to email to inquire.

Anysten is a beautiful GS dog who was rescued from a high kill shelter in Memphis, TN. She was emaciated and due to scar tissue from an old injury, was blind in her right eye. After being seen by our vet, it was determined the her eye was almost entirely scar tissue from an old injury. The decision to have it removed was not taken lightly and it was to ensure her best quality of life. Fast forward to today, Anysten has gained weight, had surgery to remove her blind eye and is living in a foster home waiting for her forever family. Here is what her foster mom has to say about Anysten:

"This girl is a joy to have in our home. Anysten is a velcro dog and wants nothing more than to please her person. She is a sweet & gentle companion dog. She is learning leash manners and as she becomes more comfortable in her foster home, giving us a glimpse of her GS personality. Anysten is good with other dogs. She is not food aggressive and is treat motivated. She loves running in the yard and rolling in the grass. She also travels well in the car/van. Anysten needs a patient, calm family. Older children - 10 yr. and up - would be best. NO CATS."

If you are interested in adopting this sweet girl, please apply by CLICKING ON THE ADOPTION APPLICATION LINK AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE.
