Interested in adoption? The first step is to complete an application at http://tiny.cc/PaddysPaws. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Wisconsin applications are priority, but Illinois applications will be considered if no small children (under 8) are present in the home, the home is owned, and excellent vet reference can be provided. We cannot process applications from other states.
Tubs is a sweet lab mix puppy, born December 5th. This “little” guy is looking for a forever home where he can grow up secure and loved. Tubs is a friendly, chill pup. He will fit in well with a family that has gentle children that he can grow up with and other four legged siblings that can play and snuggle with him. Before leaving his foster home in TX he took a swim in the pool so we can now confirm that he will also be a great swimming partner just like his Labrador look would suggest! Tubs is working hard on potty training and doing a great job. He loves to follow around his two legged foster brothers. He’s a great snuggler. Tubs has traveled to stores in his foster town and his foster family continues to provide lots of positive socialization activities. He attended a puppy party at the nearby vet clinic and was a wonderful play mate to all of the puppies big and small. Even though he’s a bigger puppy he is gentle. During his play date he was observed calmly putting himself between a big puppy and a small puppy when the big puppy was getting a little too rowdy for the smaller pup. Tubs seems to have a knack for understanding the needs of his play mates. He’s not too rough with little puppies and not intimidated by larger pups. He is mellow and sleeps like a rock during naptime. He has shown traits of being a loyal partner to his people and his foster mom has thought he would be a great therapy dog. He truly is a wonderful pup with a kind personality. Please consider making this beautiful boy a member of your family!
Because he is just a baby, his adopter will need to get him neutered at 6 months of age. He will also need to attend a puppy class to ensure he grows up to be a well-behaved and well-socialized adult!
Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a home visit, and once approved, a meet and greet with the dog.
Please note that preference is given to adopters in Wisconsin, but adoptions in Illinois will be considered.
Adoption fee is $250.
