My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Available for Adoption in NJ/PA (other states DE/MD/CT/NY may be considered for an amazing home for this special needs boy)

Hi! My name is Chubbs but my foster mom calls me Chubby Peppers. I was abandoned in a house after my owners moved out. Luckily, someone reported me crying to Animal Control ans they came and got me. I’m a SUPER sweet and spunky guy whose full of personality. I love to play and get along with submissive dogs as I am possessive of my toys and bones. I haven't met a human that I haven’t instantly loved. I am pretty strong and love to play rough so older, dog savvy children would be better playmates for me. They say I’m a French Bulldog (whatever that is) and I’m around 1 1/2 years old. I’m a big boy weighing in at 36 lbs. My favorite activities include playing fetch in the backyard, eating, going for strolls through the neighborhood, and taking long naps on the couch.

I’m a special needs gentleman but I just think I’m special! I was born with a fluid filled sac on my spinal cord called a subarachnoid diverticula. In laymen’s terms, I essentially have a cyst pushing on my spinal cord that causes me to have some hind end issues. My doctor says that I’d be a great surgical candidate if I ever started to have more trouble getting around but for now, I’m just going to enjoy my life as a puppy! Don't let all this fool you....I can run, play, go up stairs, and I even can hoist myself up onto the couch. There’s just a few precautions that Mom takes to keep me safe, I wear socks on my back feet when I go for walks to prevent any scrapping and I wear a belly band in the house just in case I dribble a little. Easy peasy!
