Checkers is a 12 week old Plott hound/Bassett mix. He loves running around playing with his foster brother and his sibling. He will come to you when called and sit at your feet just staring up at you wanting to be held. He gives sweet little puppy kisses. He was very sick and had to be cared for at the animal emergency vet. But with love and care, Checkers survived Parvo and has now been given the all clear by his veterinarian, to look for his forever home. Due to the cold weather we have had, Checkers uses potty pads but should be able to transition to outside pottying easily.
$275 Adoption fee required. This covers altering, 6 in 1 series vaccinations to date of adoption, Bordetella Vaccination, Rabies vaccination if over four months, Microchip, Deworming, Parasite testing, frontline, grooming, full veterinary examination, and temperament evaluation. All SOAR dogs go through a ten day quarantine period to insure they are healthy, before being put up for adoption. Though if the dog is an owner turn in and has been to a vet within the last ten days they go immediately up for adoption, with a further exam at the time of altering. If for any reason the dog does not work out in your family we will take the dog back into our care at any time during the lifetime of the dog. (We require that the said do be returned to us, as per contract. Please read further details on our main page on the last section of our adoption procedure.)
