My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kilo and Kinsey are a bonded pair who love people as much as they love each! They are sweet, cuddly and affectionate - always ready to lend a paw and share a hug! They are low maintenance and can amuse themselves - happy to hang out chewing on their chew sticks! They are awesome stress-busters - just watching them together makes you smile.

They are calm and well-behaved in the house - relaxing when you relax. They like going for walks but require less exercise than younger dogs. Two - 20 minute walks a day keeps them happy. Kinsey is very willing to do more but Kilo’s joints start to complain when he over-does it. He’s content to stay home alone tho if Kinsey and their people are more into exercise!

They are both good with other dogs but Kilo might do a little “posturing” when he first meets. He is easy to distract tho and will just walk away with Kinsey. They are more people dogs than dog dogs and are content just to be with each other and their people.

If you open your hearts and your home to Kilo and Kinsey they will devote the rest of their lives to loving you and thanking you. They are so deserving of a home and will be your Perfect Best Friends Forever.

They have been recently vet checked and are healthy.

Hi there! My name is Kilo, but my foster mom calls me “Little”, and this here is my wife, Kinsey. I’m 9 years old with a tail that just won’t quit and I’m ready to hand out more kisses than you can handle. Kinsey is 7, a little more independent-minded and laid back. I love her soft black fur, the way her tail sways as she walks and how her ears perk up when she sees a tasty bone.

We think we were used for breeding because we weren’t spayed or neutered until recently and we can’t quite remember what happened to our babies, but we know that we’re safe and cared for now, so we’re happy! We love to curl up and nap and chew bones and dig beds and share food and get pats – especially pats. Give us all the pats. And the rubs. And the scritch-scratches. We will reward you dearly with a nice view of our belly, or perhaps a snore. Foster mom calls us potatoes, like her. I’m well past my running days, but Kinsey sometimes likes to jog. I can never keep up. All we ask for now is a nice, reasonably priced retirement home – preferably together, because back when we got mated, divorce was not an option. We are good with other dogs, though sometimes they get overwhelmed when we both rush to say hi at once. We love to take long, slow, romantic walks to anywhere – as long as we can take our time sniffing and marking our shared territory. I like to mark where Kinsey marks. We are good with cats, too. Our joints are too stiff to chase them, but it would be a big no-no if they took our tasty bones. Our foster mom thinks we would be great with kids too because she likes to rub our cheeks and our butts and play with our ears and we looooove it. We say hi to every stranger on the street in hope for some cuddles, but it seems like young folk nowadays can’t afford the time to admire a handsome chap and his missus.

We promise to be diligent in learning new routines! We are both potty-trained and experienced potty-trainers as well. Every time Kinsey walks back and forth and whines, humans take us out for pee-pees and get positively reinforced with no “accidents” on the floor (aka, less stress and more relaxation time filled with snuggles). I think we can be great dogs for any home that will love us as much as we love each other.
