My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HENRY (KENTUCKY)
Henry is a 4 year old (estimated), 13 pound Yorkie Mix boy being fostered in Elizabethtown KY.
We don’t know a lot about Henry’s past other than he was found as a stray by a Good Samaritan. They kept Henry for six whole weeks trying to locate his owner. Sadly they were unable to find them and could not keep him themselves so Henry landed at the shelter.
Henry has a beautiful thick, curly silver and tan coat and the saddest, most soulful eyes that look like they can see into your heart. He is a young dog but has an “old soul” spirit about him so we don’t think he would be a fan of children but we can’t know for sure. He is a bit shy but he attaches very fast and strong to “his person.” He has only been in his foster home a few days but so far he is very sweet and “chill.” He will let you roll him onto his back and hold him like a baby. Henry would LOVE to be an only child but might also do well with another pet of similar size and energy that is not possessive of their human. Henry has given us some indications that he wants a person of his very own and he is already a bit possessive of his foster Dad. Henry is not a mean dog by any stretch....he’s just a sad little boy who’s been lost, re-homed temporarily , taken to a shelter and now in yet another new place and he’s just feeling lost and insecure and very much in need of a Forever Person who will love him and keep him. Henry is mostly house-trained and has only had one accident so far in his foster home. He has a good appetite, but came to us with a some dry skin which is responding well to treatment. Henry is up to date on all his Vet care and ready for adoption. If you are looking for a mild-mannered sweetheart of a dog that will bond quickly and love you to pieces, Henry is your guy so hurry on over to our website and apply to adopt him today.
