My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Solo. I was named after the handsome pilot that made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs! How cool is that! Unfortunately, I am not quite as debonair or confident as my namesake, but I am just as handsome, if I do say so myself.

Let me tell you a little about myself: I am 2 years old and was living by myself on the streets of Miami when I was rescued, well saved actually, by a wonderful rescue team. You see, there was a human in my neighbourhood who, for some reason, thought I was a nuisance and proceeded to set my den on fire and douse me with acid from head to tail.

I am happy to report that I was able to heal on the outside and with the love from the amazing people at Eddy’s Dogs, Royal Canadian Pooch and my foster momma, I am learning to trust humans again. I want to be loved and give love.

My foster momma says I’m a really sweet boy and I’m very good. I love to meet other dogs, and I get along with cats too. I love to run and can spot a squirrel from miles away! I also love to squeak toys as I run around the house and cuddle with foster mom when I get sleepy.

The perfect home for me is a quiet home, with experiences pet parents who appreciate my past and are willing to give me space and time to trust and become part of their pack.
