My story

Swayze is a 4 year old male who came into the shelter on 1/28 as an owner surrender.

Beefcake alert! Swayze is a big ol’ boy but is easy to handle and walks nicely on leash (admittedly a bit strong, though). Outside, Swayze went potty right away, sniffed around a bit and was like “lady, it’s cold, bring me inside.” In a smaller area indoors, Swayze was super interested in me, but smart and respectful of my space especially for a big guy! He showed off his knowledge of ‘sit’ and ‘paw’ and ‘other paw.’ He loved treats, took them gently, and loved to keep repeating his tricks for some treats. On the way back into the pavilion, he walked past all of the other kennels with ease and I threw a treat into his spot and he hopped right back in, no issues whatsoever.
