Bowie is an AWESOME, intelligent dog! He loves playing, toys, water, the companionship of people and other dogs. He likes to be where you are. He is housebroken; although that will have to be reestablished in his new home. He walks great on a leash and loves going on walks.
Curious young dogs chew and Bowie loves to take the interesting items, such as remotes, cords, phones, leashes, etc. you carelessly leave lying around and can chew them to destruction in under 10 seconds. Young dogs needs constant supervision and Bowie is no different. He is still 100% puppy! He has dug a hole or two when bored outdoors. These are normal behaviors for dogs under 2 years of age. If you can not handle these issues with love and patience in your heart, please move on.
Bowie is considered a low-shed breed, which means his hair sheds a bit but stays in his coat (does not fall on the floor). He will need regular professional grooming. The vet thinks he is a Portuguese Water Dog, but he could be anything from a Labradoodle to a Standard Poodle. His age is estimated from 10 months to 1 1/2 years old. His right ear appears to have had a hematoma that burst and healed prior to him coming to us. This is not at all noticeable. He does well in a crate at night indoors. He is approximately 20" tall at his shoulder.
Bowie is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, deworned, and deflead. An application will be sent out to anyone who inquires. If you do not receive it, CHECK YOUR JUNKMAIL. Adoption fee is cash only.
