My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*Updates on 2/9/19*
Name: Gidget
Breed: Mixed Breed
Age: 5 years old, 25lbs
Medical: Spayed, fully vaccinated, recent dental on flea/tick and heart worm prevention
Training: Gidget knows commands such as sit, lay down, heal, and "sit pretty." Gidget is completely housebroken, crate trained, and walks nicely on a leash. Ride well in a car.
Future Dream Home: Gidget would do fine in an apartment/condo, or house! She isn't picky. Suburban area.
Located: Foster home in Somers, NY.

Description: Gidget's foster mama says-- "It's no secret. Gidget is the total package. When Gidget sees someone she knows, she does a happy dance, wiggling around and folding her body in half. With new people, once she has warmed up, she will show her true colors as a happy, goofy little dog. She can be very affectionate and likes to sit on your lap or right next to you. She has a gentle demeanor. Born in 2014, she has that perfectly-balanced perfect energy level where she would be happy to go for a walk or stay home and cuddle in her doggy bed all day. Gidget is good with chickens, and cats. Gidget can be picky with her dog friends, she seems to be more comfortable with calm dogs. With new dogs she is always cautious and on high alert. She'd do fine as the only dog. Another dog friend may helps her feel safer but of course, it has to be the right match! She would love nothing more than a kind, calm, gentle person and a safe, loving home to call her own. She has earned the freedom of her foster mother's home (so no crate needed long term) because she is such a good girl. She wears a harness for her walks and she will come running when she see's it. This easygoing gal just wants to be someone's stable and steady companion for the rest of her life."
