Here's what the humans have to say about me:
It’s been a long, cold, lonely winter. That about sums up my existence for the past year. You see, I was with a nice family but I kept escaping so rather than see me get hurt, they sent me away to live with a “friend.”
For the past year, I’ve been living in a smelly, dirty kennel with lots and lots of other dogs and cats. Sometimes we got to eat and have a little water but not very often. I got really skinny and lost some of my hair and I had awful sores from laying on the cement all the time. Then one day all these people showed up at the kennel and took a lot of us away. I was one of the lucky ones to get out of there. I was just so tired and hungry and dirty. I couldn’t wait to leave that awful place.
I never lost my way, though because I’m a good boy. I stayed the sweet, lovable, laid back blue boy I always was. I knew I had to be a good boy if someone…anyone was ever going to want me.
I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you about myself.
• I’m a People Puppy. I just LOVE people!
• I’m very sweet when I’m playing too. If you throw a ball for me, I’ll run fast fast to get it then bring it back and very gently place it on your lap.
• I know all my basic commands too.
* I walk really well on a training leash or gentle lead.
• You can let me have the run of the house because I won’t rip anything apart or get into trouble.
• I’m content in a crate and I’ll wait patiently there until you get home.
• Even though I want to make sure I have food, I’m never what they call “aggressive.” I’ll easily share my food (and toys) with you anytime.
* Perfectly described, I'm Friendly, affectionate, laid back, handsome and adaptable. Did I mention handsome?
Notice I told you how good I was before I share some of my faults? They are minor things that you and I just need to work through.
• First, and I won’t compromise on this one. I don’t like cats. There, I said it. No cats please.
• Because you’ll be helping me learn to live in a house again, I think it would be best if I live in a home with older children.
• If you have a dog, I might like him or her, but I might not. A nice slow introduction is best. Just like you and other people, we need to meet before making that
decision.
So, you see, my good WAY out weighs my bad! Bottom line, I'm a Doberman. I get better and better every day because I just want to please. I'll be the same way with my new family. Right now I'm hanging out with a wonderful older couple and I've adapted to their lifestyle. If you're more active, I can do that too.
