My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Precious Penny is looking for a family to call her own, and she wants her new people to know these 10 things about her:

1. I am an Dogue de Bordeaux and I am about 100lbs.

2. Even though I am about 3 years old, I still feel like a puppy! I have lots of energy and curiosity.

3. I love people and I think I would do well in a home with children, as long as they weren’t too rambunctious.

4. I have a Cane Corso brother at my foster home and I don’t like him one bit. Its not his fault, though. I just get jealous when other pets get attention, which is why I’d like to be an only pet.

5. I am very curious about cats, so a feline-free home would probably be best.

6. My foster family describes me as friendly, affectionate, playful and happy.

7. I like going for rides in cars, hanging with people, and taking naps!

8. I am good on a leash and crate-trained. My foster mom home is helping me perfect my housebreaking skills and is teaching me basic obedience!

9. Sometimes when I get really excited, I jump up on people and get mouthy. I have been working really hard on my doggy manners, and my new family will need to continue this training once I go to my forever home.

10. I am current on vaccinations, microchipped, HW- and spayed.

Ready to give Penny the forever home of her dreams? Fill out our Adoption Application, located at www.bullpenrescue.org under the 'work with us' tab.

We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation.

Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a "perfect placement" so we know that they will not be failed again.
