My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IDGSR WELCOMES JOPLIN INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!!

PLEASE NOTE: If the dog you are interested in is online, he/she is still available and it is not necessary to email to inquire.

Joplin is a female German Shepherd who is approx. 9-10 mos. old. She found herself in a shelter and no one came looking for her. Since coming into the rescue, she has been in a loving foster home and her foster mom says this about her:

"Joplin is a playful and loving girl. She is good with cats, although mine don’t particularly enjoy playing with her. She does wonderful with other dogs and is very playful. She enjoys playing with toys, but mostly if other dogs are playing with them with her. She does very well around kids, but is very hyper and active so older kids might be best for her. She loves hugs and lots of love. Crate trained and mostly house broken, but she is still young so we have accidents every now and then. As long as she is let out immediately after coming out of the crate and after eating and then of course periodically when out of the crate for long periods of times she does fine."

If you are interested in adopting this sweet girl, please apply by CLICKING ON THE ADOPTION LINK AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE.

PLEASE READ. Regarding the application processing fee: IDGSR requires that all applicants submit a $20 non-refundable application processing fee. Please note that submitting an application and fee does not guarantee that you will be approved or guarantee the adoption of any specific dog, since that dog may have other applications being considered.

Each dog's adoption fee varies depending on the age of the dog.
$300 for any dog 1 year and younger (PUPPY)
$250 for any dog 1-6 years (YOUNG & ADULT)
$200 for any dog 7 years (ADULT SENIOR)

All our adoptable dogs are up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing, monthly preventative, and have been spayed or neutered.

Everyone must submit an application before an appointment is made to meet the dogs. Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

All dogs are fostered in TN unless stated otherwise.
