My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

JuJu is just about perfect and as gentle as can be! Her sweetness & loyalty to her person defy description. She is the ideal devoted companion and would so much like to be in a home where she has someone with her most of the time. She's okay alone but is happiest when she has company. JuJu is a 6 year old bloodhound/Brittany spaniel (we've had her tested so, yup, this is in fact her heritage!); it's most evident by her howling bark (which doesn't come out often, but when it does,, whew boy! LOL) and her strong scent drive. JuJu does have an addiction we feel you should know about ... here it comes ... are you ready? Squirrels! She is absolutely fascinated, enthralled and enamored of these little creatures! JuJu basically zones out as she stares at the little buggers and loses her sense of hearing as well LOL; selective deafness, for sure! It's really amusing! JuJu would so much enjoy having a dog with whom she can play in her new home; she’s currently living with a senior boy and she tries so hard to get him to chase her with no luck. She's so quiet & well behaved in the house; she's the perfect lady & perfect guest! You'd never guess this princess would have such an unladylike habit as squirrel watching! But there it is! It only adds to her charm! JuJu's past was sad; she was owned by a veteran who had severe PTSD and ultimately was unable to take care of her, physically or emotionally or financially. JuJu has allergies to chicken/grains as well as environmental allergens that cause itching & hair loss; without appropriate diet & allergy medication, she goes bald & gets very painful. That's the shape she was in when we got her. We are so glad we were able to help as JuJu has proven to be an absolute joy! Her foster mom, Donna, worked really hard using holistic treatments, including herbs & essential oils, as well as standard veterinary medications. JuJu is on Apoquel every other day as well as the grain free/chicken free diet and, as you can see, the results are amazing. JuJu is stunning!!!
If you'd like to make this amazing & special girl a member of your family, please let us know! Her adoption fee is $200; she's spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations as well as heartworm preventative.
