Hello there! Thank-you for clicking on my profile. My name is Kenny and I am a Yorkie (mix?) that was found as a stray running in Warren. A very kind woman took me in and kept me safe until I could be reported to animal control as found and then transferred to NBS when no family came forward for me. I am about 8 years old (estimated) but I have so much life left in me and so much love to share!
I had to have surgery on my knees called luxating patellas and I have some through surgery wonderfully! I may need some help from my adoptive family to do stretches on my legs for the first three weeks after surgery but I should make a full recovery and my kneecaps won't pop out of place anymore. Yippee!!
I am a super sweet guy and my foster family really loves me. I love kids, other doggies and my people. I am a very easy keep. I am potty trained and can be trusted sleeping around the house when my family is not home. I love to snuggle and I am an expert at snuggling in bed at night and not moving! I enjoy the company of kids and other dogs. I love walks and car rides and I will occasionally play with stuffy toys. But mainly, I just want to be hanging out with someone keeping me warm and safe. I do chase squirrels and rabbits outside so a fenced yard or leash walking will be important for me.
My friends at NBS Animal Rescue are helping me to find the perfect fur-ever home. All of the dogs in our rescue are have different personalities and needs within an adoptive home. -Children must be 5 yrs or older
- 100% fenced in yard or someone committed to leash walking for pottying
If you think I might be the perfect addition to your family please follow these steps:
1.) Visit www.nbsar.org to fill out my adoption application. As an approved adopter, my rescue friends can set up a home visit so I can meet you. Our rescue is 100% run by volunteers, to help your application be processed as quickly as possible, please make sure to….
2.) Call your veterinarian and give them permission to release information about your current and past pet’s veterinary history.
3.) Call your references too! Let them know to expect a phone call from an unknown phone number, and a rescue team member will need to talk to them on the phone as a reference.
My adoption fee is $125.00 and includes a DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine (age appropriate), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food. Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on vaccinations and heartworm preventative , spayed/neutered (unless a documented medical reason is on file with your veterinarian). Dogs must be current on Distemper DHPP combo vaccine and Rabies vaccine, cats must be current on Distemper and Rabies at the time of application. This also applies to any pets in your home within the past five years.
