We got our cats as "older kittens" (6 mo. old) from a rescue in AZ in Dec 2013. They are brothers from the same litter and have been great family pets for us. Sadly, we're making a cross country move and the rental homes where we're going don't allow cats :-(
We hope to find a loving home for them where they can continue to bring a family joy while being well cared for. Both cats are very social, though with very different personalities.
Ivan is a calmer, sweet, lap kitty that pretty much always wants to "be there" and follow around whoever is home to cuddle with them, but he might also hide away on the foot of a bed and sleep all day.
Linus is more active & playful and loves to chase anything small that moves! He is also very affectionate, but doesn't usually lay still as long as Ivan when sitting on a lap.
They prefer to sleep near people but don't need to. They are very sweet and calm with our children, but would likely be happier with older children than with small children.
