This is GUS.  He was left abandoned by his family when they went thru a divorce.  The neighbors were worried about him and contacted a friend who in turn contacted Dogs Deserve Better.

Gus is a senior dog who has always lived inside/outside.  He is potty trained and extremely social.  He loves to be loved on.  He just wants to live his final years laying at your feet being content.

He does have a small tumor on his chest that we are looking into getting removed.  It doesnt hurt him or bother him so depending on if he can survive the surgery will depend on what we can do.

Also, he is High Antigen Heartworm Positive.  HOWEVER, Dogs Deserve Better will provide you with six months of Heartguard.  He cannot survive the treatment but keeping him on hearthguard will kill the worms slowly.  Over time, he may fully recover. 

Even though he is a senior dog, he loves to play.  He likes to play with his bones and his squeaky toys.  He will fetch but he likes you to come with him as he fectches it.  Again, he just doesnt want to leave your side.
