Hello Pet Lovers! My name is Miss Penny. I am a Yorkie and weigh 6 lbs. I am 6 years old, my birthday is 12/28/2012. My foster mom says that I am the sweetest little girl, but I have anxiety/OCD and need a VERY CALM AND QUIET HOME. I was not treated well in my first home. I lived with a family that had a 2 year old child and did not teach her how to be nice with me. They put me in a crate a lot and then in August, I ended up with a burn on my back. A really nice lady took me from that home and I went to live with her, her husband, and their little Yorkie. Sadly, two weeks later, she was diagnosed with cancer. She was going through Chemo treatments and was always feeling sick, so she reached out for help. The nice people at Pick Me! Pet Rescue stepped in and I stayed with a family that worked with me for a few months, they helped me a lot and I learned what it was like to be in a calm environment. I am looking for a forever home now, but it has to be someone who is willing to work with me. I still get anxiety and I need to be taken out a lot to go potty, because I can have accidents. I need someone who is home a lot, and has a lot of love and attention to spare. I do get along with other dogs, but I basically tolerate them. What I really want is my human's attention. I also need someone who wants to walk me a few times a day, because I love to walk and it helps me get some energy released, so my anxiety lessens. I am spayed, up to date on vaccines, current on heartworm and flea preventive, and I have a microchip. I just had a dental done too. My adoption donation is $400.00.
